The 96 Club, founded in the mid seventies, is a private petrolhead’s members club based in London. Whether it’s considered a car club with a focus on being social, or a social club with a focus on cars is up for debate. The club is one of the oldest and most established of its type, and hosts monthly breakfast meets in Belgravia, known as a Rendezvous, but also organises a whole host of other events throughout the year and offers some very special services to its members.
-
As the Rendezvous’ increase in popularity, the easiest way to ensure a spot in the garden is to become a 96 Club member. Members are given priority allocation for the Rendezvous, and are given a 50% discount on attendance. Only once spaces have been allocated to members are Rendezvous tickets available to those on the waiting or friends list.
Members also have exclusive access to Works Visits where the Club is given access to fabulous workshops, showrooms and collections across the South of England, including DK Engineering, Crosthwaite and Gardiner and Girardo to name a few…
Tours and Events. Coming in 2025, Club Members will be offered a range of fantastic tours and adventures. From single day adventures to European Road Trips there will be something for all tastes.
Members Newsletter - a regular sixteen page newsletter with members news, upcoming events and event reports.
Library. New for 2025, the Club is building its own collection of historic motoring books, available for members to borrow at their leisure.
Insurance. The Club has a fantastic insurance scheme with Locktons, meaning you can rest easy with your classics comprehensively covered.
Car sourcing and selling service.
Preferential rates and fast-track service at 96 Engineering - the club’s very own in house workshop.

Ultimately, no! The club is essentially geared towards classic and vintage cars, but plenty of members also own modern machinery. There is no rarity or value based criteria and we often have Minis, Alfasuds, Beetles and Austin Sevens alongside much scarcer and more exotic automobiles. Two wheels are welcome too!
It is not, however, possible to just join the club. We work extremely hard to ensure that the club has a great feel and a great atmosphere at all of our events, so naturally all potential members are asked to attend Rendezvous’ as a friend of the club first, before being added to the waiting list. Membership numbers are limited too, so once a space comes up then membership is offered to those on the waiting list, providing they have gelled with the existing community.
-
Membership costs £350 a year, with no joining fee. This is payable by standing order. This figure is fixed and isn’t subject to change for the duration of your membership.

It’s not possible just to “join” the 96 Club. As an exclusive members club, we vet all potential members to ensure they’re just as enthusiastic, social and friendly as the rest of us.
